Hurricane Irene Vlog: Monday 8/29 7AM: STILL NO POWER IN WESTBURY!

Woke up to still no electricity in Westbury. The entire town remained out, as well as Carle Place. I was very grateful for the LIRR to be running although service was spotty and slow, due to slip-slide conditions because of all the leaves. I just made the 8:30am 319 NJ Transit Bus to Toms River. I decided it would be easier to go there than anywhere east on LI. Down in Toms River JCP&L was doing a much better job than LIPA as most of the power on the main circuits was on.
